Provide a free telephone helpline 08000 562 561 (UK), email support and live chat, for all teachers, lecturers and staff working schools, adult, further and higher education. Support includes information and signposting, support and coaching or counselling services. Also offer debt counselling and emergency grants. Additionally some teachers may be eligible to receive financial assistance. Support is also offered via email above, 24/7 online chat or text 07909 341229.

Helpline providing information, help and emotional support to people affected by epilepsy. This help extends to friends, family, work colleagues, professionals for e.g social workers, GP's, nurses, teachers, care workers and employers. Topics discussed can include causes, diagnosis, symptoms, different types of epilepsy including medication, children with epilepsy, driving, seizure dogs, intractable and temporal lobe epilepsy, first aid, support group and networks, living with epilepsy, alarms, travel insurance, employment, education, financial assistance and benefits. Free translation service for callers where English is not the first language.

Equality Advisory & Support Service (EASS)- Advice Line

Provide information advice and support on discrimination and human rights issues to individuals. Can advise on the Equality Act 2010, advise on options to resolve issues, advise on options for informal resolution, advise on eligibility for civil legal aid, provide support for people considering making their own claims and assist in finding local sources of support. The information and support provided by the service is not the same as legal advice, which should only be provided by, or under the supervision of, professionally qualified lawyers. For callers who are deaf or hard of hearing call RAD through webcam portal at www.royaldeaf.org.uk/webcam/ to speak to an adviser in BSL or text chat.

Families Outside

Support and information helpline for families with a relative in prison. Can give information and support over the phone, via text messaging or through email facility and has a range of materials that can be posted or accessed via the website. Supports families and professionals throughout Scotland and carries out direct support work with family members. Training and awareness raising is available for professionals who come into contact with families affected by imprisonment.

Fife Women's Aid

Fife Women's Aid

Freephone helpline providing support and out of hours emergency on call service for women who experience domestic abuse. Any woman can access support services by telephoning the support line. Can arrange an appointment to meet at offices in Glenrothes or in a safe place. Further support includes refuge accommodation, information in relation to benefits and rights, emotional support for women and children to work through issues and understand experiences, counselling, liaison and advocacy with other Agencies, for women and children, to ensure the best possible support is received.

Glasgow & Clyde Rape Crisis

Glasgow & Clyde Rape Crisis

Helpline provides support, information and advocacy services to women and girls from aged 13 years who are survivors of rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse at any time in their lives. This service is free and confidential. The Rape Crisis Centre also provides support to non-abusing partners and family members.

Health In Mind

Trauma Counselling Line Scotland (TCLS) offers confidential telephone counselling to any adult who experienced abuse as a child. This can include sexual, emotional, physical, psychological, spiritual abuse or neglect. The counselling team are fully trained in this area and both male and female counsellors are available from a range of ethnic backgrounds. Calls to 0808 80 numbers are free from landlines and mobile phones within the UK and do not appear on itemised bills. TCLS is funded by SurvivorScotland and managed by Health in Mind.
