Our Complete Skills Package offers comprehensive training that combines Level 1 Essential Helpline Skills, Level 2 Developing Helpline Skills and Level 3 Advanced Helpline Skills courses.
Level 1: Essential Helpline Skills
This is the first stage of our comprehensive three-level training programme. The Level 1 course is a practical, skills-based introduction, offering you the essential tools needed to respond confidently to calls. You will learn the core competencies required to provide effective support, including active listening, clear communication, and appropriate response techniques.
Level 2: Developing Helpline Skills
Building on the foundational skills acquired at Level 1, the Level 2 course focuses on more advanced aspects of helpline work. This stage is crucial for understanding and managing challenging calls. You will develop advanced skills in empathic listening and learn how to engage with callers while maintaining professional boundaries.
Level 3: Advanced Helpline Skills
Designed for experienced professionals, the Level 3 course delves deeper into the complexities of helpline interactions. This skills-based course will enhance your ability to manage emotional, angry, and repeat callers with confidence and professionalism. You will also receive essential training in responding to suicidal callers and safeguarding, equipping you with the knowledge to handle these critical situations with care and competence.
All courses in the Complete Skills Package are CPD accredited.
