General

You will receive an email directly from CPD within 28 days of the course date. CPD will provide you with a link to download your certificate and view your CPD hours.

Email training@helplines.org with the subject and date of your training and our team will follow this up with CPD on your behalf. If you require an attendance certificate, HLP can provide this whilst you wait for your CPD certificate.

Of course, we are committed to making our courses accessible to everyone. You can make an adaptation request for both open and in-house training. These options are available when booking the course, or you can email us beforehand to discuss any specific needs or preferences. We're happy to work with you to ensure the training is accessible and comfortable.

For both in-house an open training, each course is designed to be suitable for between 6 and 16 delegates.

In-house

HLP does not provide training facilities. We ask that the organisation booking the training arranges the venue for the day.

2. We'll be in touch to answer any initial questions you have.
3. You’ll be invited to a free call with one of our trainers to discuss your training requirements in more detail, ensuring the course content is tailored to suit your team.
4. Once the course programme and training date(s) are agreed, a training agreement will be sent for your review and signature.

Yes. You’ll be invited to a free call with one of our trainers to discuss your training requirements in more detail. At this point we will be able to tailor the course content to suit your team. If you request larger changes to the standard course programme you may be charged an additional administration fee.

Yes. If the training is within our remit we are happy to create tailored training for your team.

Open

Complete our open training booking form or email training@helplines.org with your request.

Yes. Email training@helplines.org to request to be waitlisted for any fully booked training course. We will then email you to let you know if there has been a cancellation for the requested course and offer you first refusal of the open place.

You can cancel your place without charge if you notify us in writing at least 5 calendar days before the event. Cancellations within 5 days, or no-shows, will incur the full fee. You can transfer your place to an alternative date at no charge if notified in writing 5 days in advance; transfers within 5 days will incur fees for both dates, subject to availability.

Yes. There will be two short breaks and a longer break at lunch time so you have time to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. Please refer to your course programme for further details of timing.

All open training courses run from 10.00 - 16.00.

Do your best to reconnect to the session. If this isn't possible call 0300 330 7777 to let us know. We will rebook you onto another course date.

Some of our courses may cover sensitive topics that could bring up difficult emotions or memories. If at any point you need to take a break or are feeling uncomfortable, please let the trainer know via the Zoom private chat. You’re welcome to turn off your camera or mute yourself, but it’s helpful to inform the trainer.

If the course you are attending is an accredited qualification, the awarding body does allow you to miss 20% of the course and still complete the examination. If you could let the office know as soon as possible, we can advise the trainer and they can have a chat with you about what you will miss and how to cover the missing part of the syllabus.

Your organisation will be invoiced once your place has been confirmed. The invoice will be sent to any finance contact you may have along with the person completing the booking form.
