The Coroners' Courts Support Service

Support and guidance for bereaved people and witnesses attending inquests

Confidential helpline offering emotional support and practical information about the Inquest process. Trained volunteers, who also support in Court, giving information to those who will be attending an Inquest about what will happen on the day. The volunteer will have local knowledge of the area, how the court works and can discuss on the telephone to explain what to expect at the specific Court to be attended. All support is free and confidential and can be over the phone, via e-mail or chat function on the website.
