Support, information and guidance to those caring for a child or young person who has been bereaved
National confidential helpline offering support, information and guidance to all those caring for a child or young person who has been bereaved. The helpline is staffed by people with experience and knowledge of supporting bereaved children and families. The Team can offer support and information, discuss options, make practical suggestions and help work out how best to support the bereaved child. Callers will be advised about whether they may be able to access direct support services and free publications and resources can be sent out to families. Contact details for other organisations which offer help after a bereavement, including local contacts where these exist, can be provided. Calls to 0808 80 numbers are free from both landlines and mobiles in the UK and are not itemised on the caller's bill.
