Cardiomyopathy UK
National charity for people affected by cardiomyopathy
Confidential nurse helpline for patients, carers, parents, and young people who have been affected by cardiomyopathy. The helpline is managed by clinical nurse specialists who can help with worries about potential symptoms, whether to see a GP, understanding a diagnosis, treatment, side effects, genetic testing or to provide emotional support. Anyone can call the helpline, whether they have a diagnosis or care for someone with cardiomyopathy or if they are unsure if they might have cardiomyopathy, are newly diagnosed or have been living with the condition for some time. Please note the helpline nurses do not have access to callers’ medical notes, cannot liaise with a patient’s healthcare team and cannot provide interpretation of electrocardiograms (ECG’s), rhythm strips, echo cardiograms, cardiac MRI scans or any clinical investigations.
