Care Rights UK
Support, inform and empower older people needing care and their families
Free confidential helpline offering information, advice and support on care issues affecting older people in England. Helpline staff give one-to-one advice on issues including visits to care homes, moving into care, concerns about quality of care being received, care home costs and funding, legal rights and entitlements and more. Care Rights UK helpline advisers are experts in the care field and happy to cope with referrals from other advice or befriending lines when more in-depth knowledge is needed. Helpline staff are there to empower clients with the information they need to resolve their issues. Where this is not possible, or a greater level of support is required, Care Rights UK can offer a more in-depth service which may include making calls or writing on a client’s behalf. Further support from Care Rights UK includes factsheets, guides and resource packs for care staff and carers.
