CRY Ireland
Confidential freephone Helpline offering support for families and friends affected by Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) and/or Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS). Support is also given to those who are living with a diagnosis of an inherited cardiac condition.
Confidential helpline covering the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK, providing an empathic, listening ear and offering support to those who have been affected by the loss of a loved one through SCD or SADS or those living with a lifestyle change because of a potential diagnosis or a confirmed diagnosis of an inherited cardiac condition. The helpline is managed by trained volunteers who can empathize and understand the caller in the context of their own story. CRY offers further peer support through its Family Support Programme which includes Women’s and Men’s Zoom forums and Walking Support Groups. Further support includes individual family therapy, professional counselling, and psychotherapy. An annual CRY Family Day brings together and connects families and loved ones who are travelling similar journeys in a therapeutic setting for a day filled with safety, support, and solidarity.
