The transition support helpline/casework service provides advice and support to young autistic people and their families on making the transition from school, further, or higher education to adult life. The Team can explain rights and entitlements in relation to transition planning, including education, social security benefits, and community care in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, provide information on requesting assessments and accessing support within the community, help young autistic people and their families explore their options and make informed decisions and provide guidance and support on specific issues such as engaging young people, finding suitable provision or resolving disagreements. Calls to 0808 80 are free from landlines and mobiles in the UK and do not appear on itemised billing.
