Support for people who take prescribed or illicit drugs of addiction and withdrawal
Confidential support line providing information and support for individuals to reduce the harms caused by prescribed drugs (Benzodiazepines, Z drugs (‘sleeping pills’), Gabapentinoids, Opioid painkillers) associated with dependence and withdrawal through a wrap-around service of one to one therapy, group therapy and a telephone support service. Support includes a Telephone Support Service which is talking therapy which includes a tailored assessment and recovery support plan, weekly counselling for 20-30 minutes, and a listening support service. Further support includes a face to face therapy service, tailored assessment and recovery support plan, ongoing support from a specialist practitioners, counselling and group therapy. PostScript 360 also offers an advocacy service, liaising with GP’s and health services. This service is available for people who can attend Gloucester House at Southmead Hospital. The line has an answering machine facility 24/7. If there is no one available outside core hours (10am-4pm) callers are advised to leave a contact number and a Support Line worker will call back.
