Support for women working in sex work, prostitution and the adult industry
Confidential helpline offering support to sex-workers. Services include outreach with a team going to the red light area of Norwich to meet with the street based sex workers. Outreach also offers on-the-spot help, harm reduction advice, information on services, condoms and a hot drink. Further support includes drop-in service providing a safe and positive place offering a hot lunch, a meeting place, a listening ear, support and friendship. The Team also visit local local prisons and visit women from Norfolk serving sentences in other prisons around the country. Offers one to one befriending with women either still working in sex work, exiting or on release from prison. Also run the Rose Project providing support to young people who are at risk of, or are being exploited. The team are co-located within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub working alongside the dedicated Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) team. Calls to 0808 80 numbers are free to call from landlines and mobile phones within the UK and do not appear on itemised bills.
