Announcing our Helpline Awards prizes

We recently launched the 2024 Helpline Awards and today we’re excited to announce the prizes and packages for this year’s awards.

The Helpline Awards are an important part of our annual conference, celebrating the unsung heroes, and recognising the exceptional work of the helpline sector.

The awards acknowledge the remarkable contributions of individuals and teams who are outstanding in how they provide support, guidance, and compassion to those in need.

This year, the Helpline Awards categories are:

• Helpline of the Year
• Employee of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• Lifetime Service Award
• Staff Wellbeing Award
• Innovation and Sustainability Award.

Each category will have two winners — one for organisations with an income over £500,000, and one for organisations with an income under £500,000.

Helpline of the Year
The prize package for this year’s winning organisations will include:

• a beautifully designed award;
• 15% off HLP 2025/26 membership fee;
• an invitation to be the Member Showcase at our 2025 Annual Conference; and
• a spotlight blog post on our website.

Employee of the Year
The prize package for this year’s winning employees will include:

• a beautifully designed award;
• one free HLP training course; and
• an invitation to be featured in a HLP social media spotlight.

Volunteers of the Year
The prize package for this year’s winning volunteers will include:

• a beautifully designed award;
• one free HLP training course; and
• an invitation to be featured in a HLP social media spotlight.

Lifetime Service Award
The prize package for this year’s winning employees will include:

• a beautifully designed award;
• an invitation to be featured in a spotlight blog post on our website; and
• M&S vouchers worth £60.

Staff Wellbeing Award
The prize package for this year’s winning organisations will include:

• a beautifully designed award;
• a 20% discount on two delegate places for a HLP training course of your choice; and
• an invitation to be featured in a HLP social media spotlight.

Innovation and Sustainability Awards
The prize package for this year’s winning organisations will include:

• a beautifully designed award;
• an invitation to be featured in a HLP social media spotlight; and
• an invitation to present at one of our Member Space Events.

The Awards ceremony will take place at our Annual Conference on Thursday 7 November 2024 at the Crowne Plaza in Birmingham.

The closing date for all nominations is 5pm on Monday 9 September 2024.
