Description of service
The Helpline provides advice and information to all members of the Armed Forces, past and present, including their families. Can provide information on war disablement pensions, war widow's or widower's pension, compensation claims against the MOD for personal injury caused by negligence, disability, independent inquest advice, grants and loans, care and welfare breaks, Poppy calls, resettlement and learning and work. Offers grants for immediate need, property repair, and help for the homeless and prisoners. May be able to provide financial assistance for travel to war graves through a bursary scheme. Poppy Break Centres for recovering from illness or bereavement.
