Description of service
Provide free, independent and confidential advocacy support to people across the South of England. Helpline Team assists people to contact services in the local area and to signpost to others where they do not provide a service. seAp’s advocacy services include Independent Mental Health Advocacy, Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, Independent Care Act Advocacy and NHS Complaints Advocacy. The Advocate will support the client to exercise their right to be involved in decisions about care and/or to meaningfully participate in complaint processes. seAp is also developing non-statutory advocacy, for e.g. disability benefits, ex-military personnel, care home residents etc., in specific areas.
