Description of service
Confidential Polish helpline providing help and emotional support to Polish women and children experiencing the consequences of domestic violence and abuse. The service is delivered and run by experienced and specialist bi-lingual Polish staff and volunteers. The Team can provide practical, educational and specialist assistance that supports women and children experiencing domestic violence and abuse and are isolated due to the fact they are from an Eastern European background and may have limited or no understanding as to how to gain or access support. Further support includes counselling, personal safety advice and guidance to safe accommodation, access to welfare and other statutory forms of support, assistance navigating the legal system, advocacy, outreach service, therapy, The Freedom Programme in Polish, mentoring, training, volunteering and placement opportunity.
