Description of service

The helpline team offers practical information about mental health, including the services and support available to people of all ages in Cumbria. The Team can also provide information on types of mental health problems, medication and treatment, self-help, helplines and online support. Callers can talk through concerns about their own or someone else’s mental health. Staff will listen and help callers explore options or be a listening ear in times of distress.

Phone calls from UK landlines are charged at local rates. Charges from mobile phones vary and the charge will depend on mobile phone provider and contract.
