Description of service
The National Cancer Helpline is staffed by specialist cancer nurses, and provides comprehensive cancer support, advice and information to patients, carers, the general public as well as healthcare professionals. The organisation plays a role in achieving world-class cancer services in Ireland, to ensure fewer people get cancer and those that do have better outcomes. Its goals are focused around prevention, survival and quality of life with three programme areas to achieve them; advocacy, cancer services and research.
