Confidential and impartial advice on consumer issues over the telephone or online. Can help with general consumer queries, energy and postal issues, including complaints. When purchasing goods or services the law protects people's rights against being treated unfairly or when things go wrong. This includes faulty goods, switching energy supplier, poor service, problems with contracts, builders and rogue traders. Trading Standards deal with complex consumer problems and potential criminal activities. Citizens Advice Consumer Service can help report a problem to them.
